For my BriBee Bear… Documenting Presents/Expense by Group
This is a simple app designed to keep track of each person, gift, expense and summarize by group and total. Adding a person, defining a group for each person, and then adding gifts for that person are all that is needed. One can edit a person or a gift… and, of course, delete a person or a gift. Simplicity… But more effective than creating a list manually.
The Interface
“+Person” Adds a new person. Here, enter the person’s name and group (required) as well as an optional comment.
“Swipe Right” (either full swipe presenting the dialog automatically, or halfway presenting the button to tap, provides a screen enabling you to edit the person. The button and the dialog has a blue background.
“Swipe Left”: a full swipe left presents the gift list view for the person upon which you swiped. If you swipe partially across, three buttons will be displayed: Delete [Person], Edit Person and Edit Gifts. The delete is obvious and Edit person referenced above. The Edit Gifts View provides a method to add/delete/change gift data for the given person.
The Edit Gifts View provides two buttons at the top as well as a swipe left action on a gift. The top right button adds a gift. The button to the left of the gift icon is a drive icon: this is where you can save your changes. Swiping down from the top will exit this dialog. When editing gifts, it is recommended to save often).
Swiping left displays a red delete button: to delete the gift. Again, it is recommended to save after adding/deleting/editing a gift.

NOTES :
Universal : The iPad “version” is intended to provide the exact same interface, but to run “native” on the iPad. The advantage is a larger number of records viewable at one time as well a the ability to read larger strings of Descriptive text about the entry. The disadvantage of the iPad version is there is much screen real estate wasted. Depending on user feedback, this could be resolved in a future release.
